Muleshoe Ranch, Inc., a progressive family operated ranch is located in NE Wyoming along the Belle Fourche River, 25 miles west of Belle Fourche, SD.  The Muleshoe Ranch was founded in 1952 by Elly and Kari Priewe and Thorval Jensen, Sr. (Kari's father).  The ranch was part of a land purchase initially made by Thorval Jensen, Sr. for 35 miles of the river estate from Henry Weir in 1941.  Elly and Kari were married in the fall 1950 and took over operations of the ranch.  The Muleshoe Brand was purchased from Kari's uncle in 1961 and has remained in the family since.  The Muleshoe Ranch has a deep colorful history dating back to the Texas cattle drives and the open range.  Jim and Roxie Dacar (Elly and Kari's daughter) moved back to the ranch in 1997 to help manage the ranch.  The ranch is a cow/calf and yearling operation with a full service hunting operation Colony Outfitters.  The Muleshoe Ranch ranch has endured droughts, blizzards, floods, and poor livestock markets but is still operating today with the help of Jim and Roxie's sons and families, Levi, Lana, Caleb, and Megan.  Levi and Lana's daughter Ellie as well as Caleb and Megan's son Owen will be the fifth generation to be a part of the Muleshoe Ranch.
